• Most people will try to work something out with their creditors on their own or with the help of a consumer credit counseling service.  If you have taken that step and things still aren’t affordable or the companies won’t work with you, you simply have to do something to help yourself. 
• One of the most difficult to overlook indication that something is seriously wrong with your situation is notification of foreclosure on your home.  Of course you already knew that.  If events like these or other serious credit risks are happening, it’s time to review your options.
